Wow! 2019 was a busy year for me. My first-year post Ph.D. and I didn’t know what to expect. It’s been a year full of pressure, achievement, strength, discipline, sacrifice, joy, and growth. If I’ve learned anything over this last year, it’s to protect my peace at all costs. This year I pushed myself harder, and it yielded great results. I have held four different jobs this year for various organizations. I have held the titles of lecturer, adjunct professor, research associate, and now an assistant professor. I have traveled to various places, served on multiple committees, undergone numerous pieces of training, and been active within the community. Some of my accomplishments this year include:

2019 really has been nothing short of amazing, but it has all come at a cost. That cost can include many things, one of which for me was long nights of hard work. Through it all, I have learned one important lesson, I cannot do everything. Work-life balance is necessary (or getting as close to it as possible). Below are a few snippets from the year. What can you look for from me in 2020? You will have to wait and see 🙂 My theme for next year is #2020isEPIC!
